Black & White Wednesday Cheese and Wine


 
Most of the Wednesday I tell to myself I should join in Susan s Black And White Wednesdays.But then I never have any inspiring picutues, so I just tell to myself maybe next week.
But as it is summer holiday here the last thing I want to do is write a post plus the recipe and I have not been taking any pictures of the dishes I make as last thing I want to do is take out the props, boards etc.... That is why you all don't see me visiting your blogs to see what all your delicious posts are. I guess I will be only blog hopping from September.

Few days back we were going to have cheese and bread for dinner and as we take the cheese from the fridge out few hours before we eat so that the cheese is to room temperature etc... so as the cheese was opend up and I saw it was so good looking i thought why not take a pic for  Black And White Wednesdays which is hosted at Tomatoe Blues .
Normally I thought it was posted on wednesday but she had written the post must be done before 11:59  today, so i better hurry up and edit my pic and post it :-)

Black & White Wednesday - Chocolate Dress


Mostly I forget to join in Black & White Wednesday and I only remember when I see the beautiful pictures from my blog friends and then I am like that I forgot again.
I would have forgotten again but then with the time difference with us and India, I saw this one in Siri's place yesterday evening and then I said oh yeah I should join up this week.
So as you can see here I am with my B&W picture.
This was taken few months back , when I went to France for a Chocolate Exhibition and as you can see it is a dress made with Chocolate.
I was remarking to my daughter if I had to model this dress and come to the stage, before I reached the stage I will be half Naked as I would have eaten most of the dress.
Thankyou Susan for doing all the hard work.

Rose Macarons with White Chocolate Rose filling


It is ages ago I made Macarons. There was a time when I used to make them so much that if Hans saw me in the kitchen making them he would cry out loud in despair not again thise over sweet things.
I do agree Macarons are tad too sweet, but iI do think when they are filled they taste totally different even though they are sweet.
I have to admit I almost have converted Hans to like them with my special fillings. He do like them these days, just one with his coffee if the fillings are special :-)

The only extra I addeed to the basic recipe was I added 15 gm Rose flavoured sugar crystals to the mix.
 For the filling
200 gm melted white chocolate mixed with couple of tbsp of cream and 1 to 2 tsp of rose flavour strup.
Mix evertthing to a smooth paste, let it cool a but then you can sandwich the macarons.
I personally think the filled macarons are better one day later, Ikeep then in a air tight container in the fridge.

Wind Mill,Black and White Wenesday


Till now I have only had food post here.
But there is this weekley even called Black & Whtie Wedenesday and I have been wanting to join .
So few days ago Hubby and I went with bycycle to this Mill in Sluis / Nederland were we can buy flour and it is from this place I buy my Spelt and all the other variety of flour which I make my bread and it is far cheaper than the shops.
